Trump Launches New Communications Platform

Former President Donald Trump launched a new communications platform on Tuesday.

The site, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” comes after nearly four months after Twitter and Facebook both banned the president after the Capitol Hill insurrection on Jan. 6.

On the two platforms combined, Trump had more than 100 million followers.

Former longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller said in March that the former president planned to launch his own social media platform over the coming months.

It is not clear if “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” is what he meant.

The new website is powered by Campaign Nucleus, a new initiative by former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale with a goal to protect conservatives against cancel culture. He described its function as an “automated digital ecosystem made for efficiently managing political campaigns and organizations.”

Followers can read the former president’s latest statement directly on the site and can choose to share them on Facebook or Twitter, although it is unclear whether the two platforms will allow sharing of content from Trump.

As of yet, the site has no feature for users to reply to Trump’s posts.

“This is just a one-way communication,” a source familiar with the site told Fox News. “This system allows Trump to communicate with his followers.”

The launch of the platform comes a day before Facebook’s “Oversight Board” is set to decide whether to uphold the company’s ban against Trump.

Trump mocked “boring” Twitter last week after the company’s stock plummeted more than 15%.

In a separate statement, Trump suggested he does not miss tweeting and found communicating via press releases as “much more elegant”

In an exclusive new interview with Candace Owens, Trump all but confirmed a 2024 presidential run.

“I just want to ask you one more question because I’m sure you’ve gotten this question tons of times,” Owens said. “But are you going to run in 2024?”

“The answer is I’m absolutely enthused. I look forward to doing an announcement at the right time,” Trump hinted. “As you know, it’s very early, but I think people are going to be very, very happy … when I make a certain announcement.”
