Biden Upsets North Korea With “Hostile Policy” Toward Nuclear Program

Is there any international leader who actually likes—or even so much as has an amicable relationship with—President Joe Biden?

Since taking office, Biden has received vastly more negative attention from world leaders than positive remarks.

Perhaps that’s because Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly been taking his Head of State calls, or maybe it’s simply that other world leaders can’t respect a weak president who does more for the government’s self-interest than the people’s.

Regardless of the reason, it’s not a positive thing for the United States if Biden is disliked throughout the world, because that means more tension and less peace.

Such is the case with the dictatorial Supreme Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

North Korea warned the Biden Administration on Sunday that the United States will face “a very grave situation” if the president continues his “hostile policy” toward the country’s nuclear program.

“His statement clearly reflects his intent to keep enforcing the hostile policy toward the [Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea] as it had been done by the U.S. for over half a century,” Kwon Jong Gun, a senior North Korean Foreign Ministry official, reportedly said in a statement.

The North Korean official’s comments came after Biden told a joint session of Congress last week that their nuclear program poses “serious threats to American security and the security of the world,” according to the president.

How interesting that, although Trump held the same policy toward North Korea, Kim Jong Un did not threaten the United States during the last four years. The country’s leader had such high respect for Trump that he famously became the first sitting US president to walk into the demilitarized zone.

The US and North Korea were able to keep a stable, non-threatening relationship despite Trump’s open agenda for the DPRK to be denuclearized.

Yet, Biden takes the White House, holds the same policy as Trump, and is immediately threatened with a “grave situation” should he proceed.

This says everything we need to know about Biden’s diplomatic strategy—or lack thereof. Unfortunately, this is what the US has to look forward to under the Democrats’ “calibrated practical approach” to North Korea, as Jen Psaki says.
