The following article, Washington Post, NY Times, NBC Forced to Issue Major Correction to News Story about Rudy Giuliani, was first published on Flag And Cross.
The New York Times, The Washington Post and NBC News was forced to issue major corrections to their fake news stories about Russia and the FBI’s communication with President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
These so-called “news” organizations claimed that the FBI warned Rudy that he was a target of a Russian influence operation intended to hurt Joe Biden in 2020. These outlets also claimed that cable news outlet OAN was also told they were being targeted.
According to the Washington Post, for instance:
The warning was part of an extensive effort by the bureau to alert members of Congress and at least one conservative media outlet, One America News, that they faced a risk of being used to further Russia’s attempt to influence the election’s outcome, said several current and former U.S. officials. All spoke on the condition of anonymity because the matter remains highly sensitive. Giuliani received the FBI’s warning while deeply involved with former president Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign and related activities in Ukraine to surface unflattering or incriminating information about the Biden family.
The Times and NBC also said similar things in their reports.
But as soon as the reports were published, Giuliani called them “totally false.” Giuliani added that he never received any such briefing.
Now, these outlets are being forced to retract parts of their fake news.
The Washington Post added a note to its story:
Correction: An earlier version of this story, published Thursday, incorrectly reported that One America News was warned by the FBI that it was the target of a Russian influence operation. That version also said the FBI had provided a similar warning to Rudolph W. Giuliani, which he has since disputed. This version has been corrected to remove assertions that OAN and Giuliani received the warnings.
The Times also issued a correction:

So, once again we see the “news” media just making things up as long as it makes Trump associates look bad. Then, they have to apologize when their fake news is discovered.
