In what appears to be a targeted attack, a suspect rammed into an Oklahoma City Police Officer’s vehicle and then began shooting at the officer.
The officer was driving near Northeast 52nd Street and Martin Luther King Avenue when the incident occurred.
“The suspect gets out of his car and engages our officer with gunfire, starts shooting at our officer. The officer was not able to exit his vehicle but was able to return fire from the vehicle.” – Capt. Daniel Stewart
The suspect was struck by the officer and was transported to a nearby hospital. No information has been released about the suspect’s condition.
Fortunately the officer involved in the incident was not seriously injured.
Authorities are investigating the incident and more information is expected to be released on Monday.
