A pro-Palestine activist paid the price for shooting off her mouth during the public comments portion of a Bakersfield, California city council meeting when she made “terroristic” threats against city officials.
During her angry speech, Riddhi Patel went beyond the usual airing of grievances about a ceasefire in Gaza which has become the left’s latest motivating cause, and into advocacy for bloody violence against Republican Mayor Karen Goh and members of the city council.
The 28-year-old was so unhappy that the mayor hadn’t backed a meaningless resolution for a ceasefire and that metal detectors had been installed due to anti-Israel protests that she told the city officials that Jesus himself probably would have killed them.

“I remind you that these holidays that we practice, that other people in the Global South practice, believe in violent revolution against their oppressors and I hope one day somebody brings the guillotine and kills all of you motherf***ers!”
As if that wasn’t enough, during a second rant, Patel crossed the line by openly threatening the local officials with murder.
“We’ll see you at your house. We’ll murder you,” she said.
Patel’s diatribe was so disturbing that her evening ended up with her sporting a pair of handcuffs after being escorted out of the chamber by police officers.
“Ms. Patel, that was a threat, what you said at the end,” said Mayor Goh following the death threat. “And so, the officers are going to escort you out and take care of that.”
The mouthy activist was promptly hauled away like so much garbage and was charged with multiple felony counts.

The charges included “eight counts of threatening with intent to terrorize, and eight counts of threatening the seven City Council members and the mayor,” local news outlet Bakersfield.com reported.
The group calling for the ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas terrorists distanced itself from Patel. In a post to Instagram, the United Liberation Front said the incendiary remarks are “counter to our values,” according to Bakersfield.com.
“It does not represent those of us in the community who continue to show up and exercise our civic duty by engaging directly with our elected representatives,” the group said.
Patel is the Economic Development Coordinator for the Center for Race, Poverty and the Environment which describes itself as “a national environmental justice organization providing legal, organizing, and technical assistance to grassroots groups in low-income communities and communities of color,” KERO-TV discovered while doing research for their story on the incident.
“She prioritizes highlighting the intersectionality that comes with the environmental justice movement to achieve collective liberation for all oppressed communities. In her spare time, she enjoys holding elected officials accountable, watching endless amounts of movies, television series and sports, and enjoying time outdoors with her family and friends,” reads Patel’s bio on the CRPE website.
Patel pleaded not guilty during her Friday arraignment, KERO reported. She is scheduled to be back in court later this month.
