Where are the feminists, and why are they silent on stories about Women being mistreated in American society today? Women’s sports have become a frontier of Civil Rights, and somehow the feminist movement, who have been screaming at the top of their lungs about every infraction know to man about their feelings, is finally quiet.
“Former Virginia Tech women’s soccer player Kiersten Hening has filed a federal lawsuit against Hokies women’s soccer coach Chugger Adair, alleging that after she refused to join her teammates kneeling before games this season, the coach engaged in a “campaign of abuse and retaliation” that led her to leave the program,” reported Richmond.com.
In a story that smacks of discriminating and male cronyism, feminists ignoring the story proves that their activism has always been about the political domination of the Democrats and far-left radicals.
Feminists only care about women being mistreated with it fits with their politics, and Feminists do not care about women who want to honor their nation, serve a higher purpose than politics or defend the family unit.
Hening, a female athlete, was forced out of an opportunity to participate in her chosen sport by a male coach, all over her choice to honor her country by standing for the National Anthem, while progressive leftists knelt.
“Hening’s stance was costly – too costly,” the lawsuit, filed March 3, reads. “Her coach dislikes Hening’s political views. Because she refused to kneel, he benched her, subjected her to repeated verbal abuse, and forced her off the team.”
The male coach allegedly denied Hening her choice in expression.
WSLS reported on the lawsuit and said, “While Adair supported proposals by the university to have athletes wear Black Lives Matter masks, wristbands, and armbands, Henning quietly dissented, according to the lawsuit.
DENIAL OF CIVIL RIGHTS
The lawsuit states, “while Hening supports social justice and believes that black lives matter, she does not support the BLM organization. She disagrees with its tactics and core tenets of its mission statement, including defunding the police and eliminating the nuclear family.”
Does the left agree that Hening should be treated like a second-class person who cannot have her own belief?
Adair, who just completed his 10th season at Virginia Tech and is the program’s all-time winningest coach, declined to comment. He is being represented by university attorneys, even though the university is not named as a defendant in the suit, only Adair.
Prior to the start of the first game of the season on Sept. a12, 2020, while other starters knelt as a unity statement issued by the ACC was read, Hening remained standing.
“We, the ACC, are committed to seeing each other as equals, supporting each other, and treating each other with respect and dignity at all times, recognizing that our differences don’t divide us, but they make us stronger.”
ACC Unity Statement
During halftime of that game, Adair “singled her out and verbally attacked her, pointed a finger directly in her face,” according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit explained that the other Hokie who did not kneel was not yelled at because that player was on scholarship, and her parents had called and told Adair not to retaliate against their daughter for opposing Black Lives Matter.
The following game, Hening was removed from the starting lineup and played a position she had previously never played before in college. During a film session after the game, Adair again yelled at Hening, according to the lawsuit.
