The upcoming elections could be very consequential for the rabidly anti-Israel leftist Democrats known as “The Squad” who could be flushed from Congress.
While the party has refused to take action against the anti-Semites that were allowed to slither into the big tent, a powerful lobbying group that advocates for the interests of the Jewish democracy is looking to do its part with a massive war chest for the primaries.
The Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is ready to spend $100 million against those “candidates they deem insufficiently supportive of Israel,” according to Politico which cites the now customary anonymous sources in “three people with direct knowledge of the figure.”
The obvious top targets are the “Squad” members who have been demanding a ceasefire in Gaza but aren’t limited to the smack-talking, Jew-hating progressives.
The group’s Super PAC, United Democracy Project, is also “monitoring 15 to 20 House races and polling in many of those districts,” an anonymous source “familiar” with the strategy told the outlet.
“They’ll have so much money, wherever there’s an opportunity, they will take it,” Politico quotes an unnamed “Democrat donor adviser who is involved in the effort.”
Tensions between left-wing Democrats and AIPAC have simmered since Israel launched its military campaign in Gaza to eliminate the Hamas terror organization which launched a cowardly sneak attack on civilian areas on October 7, 2023 in which over 1,200 Israelis were massacred.
“Squad” leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) accused the organization of being “racist and bigoted” and an “extremist organization that destabilizes US democracy,” only weeks after the Hamas butchery.
AIPAC endorsed scores of Jan 6th insurrectionists. They are no friend to American democracy.
They are one of the more racist and bigoted PACs in Congress as well, who disproportionately target members of color.

While the socialist diva is safely ensconced in her New York City district and is a bona fide celebrity, others aren’t so lucky and AIPAC is coming for them.
According to Politico, a bundler who isn’t named said that it sounds like the group is “going to go more actively after the Squad, people like [Reps.] Cori Bush [D-Mo.] and Jamaal Bowman [D-N.Y.].”
Bush is especially vulnerable, an ethically-challenged, uncouth activist who may be wearing out her welcome in the St. Louis-area district she represents and is facing a serious challenge from St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell who is running on a more positive vision than the burn it all down approach of Black Lives Matter and their political enablers.
In a recent poll, Bell was clobbering the “Squad” member by 22 points.
True to form, Bush accused AIPAC of racism.
“AIPAC and their Republican mega donors are targeting Black and brown Democratic incumbents with the same right-wing playbook across the country,” the congresswoman said in a statement.
“A handful of Republican billionaire mega-donors are using AIPAC to spend in Democratic primaries against black and brown progressives, funding primary campaigns against the most popular and progressive members, so this should be a scandal,” whined Usamah Andrabi, communications director for the extreme-left group Justice Democrats. “The whole of the Democratic Party should be united in opposition to this.”
“United Democracy Project is an organization comprised of American citizens—Democrats, Republicans and Independents—united in the belief that America’s partnership with our democratic ally Israel benefits both countries. United Democracy Project works to help elect candidates that share our vision and will be strong supporters of the U.S.-Israel relationship in Congress,” the organization states on its website.
