Clayton County police in Georgia say that officers shot and fatally wounded a man they were investigating for sexual assault after he initiated gunfire toward them.
According to 11Alive News, the shooting happened Thursday at the intersection of Crystal Lake, off Riverdale Road. The suspect, who has not been identified, was accused of sexually assaulting someone overnight.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently at the scene and Clayton police is scheduled to provide an update today.
