No. 9 Serra 10, Aragon 5
Nico Button had two hits and drove in a run Friday as Serra, playing on its home field in San Mateo, defeated Aragon (0-1). Serra scored three runs in the third and six in the fifth to lead 9-0. Aragon scored its five runs in the sixth. Pablo Ossio had a hit, two RBIs and scored a run for Serra, which visits Menlo-Atherton on Saturday. Aragon travels to Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday.
No. 14 California 3, Dublin 2
Aidan Camberg homered, walked and drove in two runs to lead California to a sweep of its two-game series against Dublin. The Grizzlies beat Dublin 8-4 on Wednesday. Zach Robman hit a double and scored a run for California (6-2), which plays at Livermore on Monday. Dublin (2-4) next plays at home Wednesday against De La Salle. Nolan Long and Justin McDaniel each had two hits for Dublin on Friday. Dublin led 2-0 through four innings, but California answered with three in the fifth, highlighted by Camberg’s two-run home run.
No. 13 Presentation 2, Carlmont 1
Presentation got its season off to a nice start, edging Carlmont. The Scots fell to 0-3, having lost to St. Francis 17-0 and Sequoia 15-7 in their first two games. Carlmont will next play on Friday at home against St. Ignatius. Presentation’s next scheduled game is at home Thursday against Pioneer.
