Iran REFUSES To Negotiate With The Biden Administration

The world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism has become the latest hostile country to give the cold shoulder to the Biden administration.

Biden is bad for America in nearly every way, but especially matters of foreign policy.

Aggressive countries like Russia, North Korea, and Iran don’t respect weakness—they prey on it. And unfortunately for America, the Biden administration reeks of weakness.

Iranian government official Ali Rabiei reportedly told the press on Tuesday that Iran will not engage in any talks with the United States regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran Nuclear Deal until the Trump administration’s sanctions are lifted.

“As has been said many times, no negotiations will take place between the representatives of Iran and the United States,” Rabiei said, according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.

“However, we are ready to convey the message to the participants of the JCPOA that in case of lifting the sanctions and implementing Resolution 2231, the Islamic Republic of Iran is also mutually ready to return to fulfilling all the obligations as soon as possible after verifications of commitments that are fulfilled by the other parties,” Rabiei continued.

The developments come as the parties involved in the 2015 Iran Nuclear Deal are set to meet in Vienna, Austria next week to discuss the future of the deal. After former President Trump withdrew from the deal in 2018, only Britain, Germany, France, China, Russia, and Iran remained in the agreement.

While the U.S. will be present at the meeting where they are allegedly expected to rejoin the deal, Iran refuses to directly speak with them.

“We are not optimistic or pessimistic about the outcome of this meeting at the moment, but we are confident that we are on the right track,” Rabiei said. “If the will, seriousness, and sincerity of the United States is proven, it could be a good sign for a better future for this agreement and its final implementation in the coming weeks.”

Iran’s hardball approach may not work in their favor as the White House press secretary said the U.S. is not expecting to make any changes with regards to the current policy set by the Trump administration.

“We’ve been clear that we are not taking, not anticipating any steps at this moment. We’ll allow the negotiations to continue,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said.

Hopefully, the U.S. learns to negotiate from a position of strength next week when it comes to Iran and does not cave to their demands, and worse, on their terms.
