In one of the weirdest podcast moments maybe ever, Tori Spelling called her husband in the middle of her podcast to let him know that she had filed for divorce.
On the show, Spelling fretted over the idea of having to call her estranged husband, Dean MdDermott, before eventually saying “Oh, s–t. He’s at work right now. This sucks.”
She then called anyway.
Listeners could only hear Tori’s side of the conversation, said that she “hated to do this” while Dean McDermott was “in the middle of going to work and everything.”
She then announced to Dean that “they’ve done it. It’s the formality. It’s just the one sheet you check off, and next you’ll have to sign it.”
Spelling initially asked if Dean had a lawyer before things got a little bit more testy.
“Wait, it’s gonna be spun what way? That I’ve had enough of you? What? What do you mean?” she asked McDermott before arguing about who had the right to file first.
“In all honesty after this whole journey, if it’s about … who files first, the other person is wrong, I feel like I deserve to file first then. You basically put it out there with Daily Mail and said everything you’ve done to me over the years, so I think it makes perfect sense that it followed up that I would file.”
Confusingly, she concluded by saying “love you.”
