(The Post Millennial) – Lindsey Boylan, a former top aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo of NY state, has now released a statement formally accusing him of sexual harassment, detailing exactly what happened in her own words.
Today I am telling my story. I never planned to share the details of my experience working in the Cuomo administration, but I am doing so now in hopes that it may make it easier for others to speak their own truth. https://t.co/n1Lcc6Ac66

“Today I am telling my story. I never planned to share the details of my experience working in the Cuomo administration, but I am doing so now in hopes that it may make it easier for others to speak their own truth.”
Boylan, who’s position was Deputy Secretary for Economic Development and special adviser to Cuomo, claimed that there was unwanted touching and kissing. She also iterated in her statement that other female staffers “normalized” the incidents.
According to Fox News, she started working in her position for the Cuomo administration in 2015, and at that time, many of her colleagues warned her to “be careful around the Governor.”
Boylan previously accused Gov. Cuomo of sexually inappropriate behavior on Dec. 13, but this is the first time she had given the details of what happened as she saw it. She had at first declined to do so.
Boylan stated also that inappropriate behavior by Cuomo “was all so normalized — particularly by Melissa DeRosa and other top women around him — that only now do I realize how insidious his abuse was.”
Boylan’s report goes on to describe in detail incidents such as Cuomo suggesting a game of strip poker while on a plane flight in 2017.
Another such incident occurred in his office in Albany, where Cuomo gave her a tour, making sure to show off a box of cigars former President Bill Clinton had given him, referring to the affair Clinton had with Monica Lewinsky.
Boylan concluded by saying that she imagines that “the Governor and his top aides will attempt to further disparage me, just as they’ve done with Assembly member [Ron] Kim,” another person also accusing Cuomo of threatening him, among other things.
Gov. Cuomo is also currently under fire for his alleged mishandling of the pandemic, especially regarding how people were transferred back and forth from hospitals to nursing homes.
