Shortly after Joe Biden took office changes started being made to government accounts and one in particular caused immediate outrage.
The official Twitter account of the US Embassy in Israel was changed after Biden’s inauguration ceremony from “US Ambassador to Israel” to “U.S. Ambassador to Israel, the West Bank and Gaza.”
The change caused outrage and many wondered if this meant the Biden Administration was shifting US foreign policy.
Below is what it looked like…

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) responded to the change and said, “It’s incredibly troubling the administration made this controversial move on Day One, [without] consulting w/Congress. It also seems to fly in the face of comments made by Antony Blinken yesterday. I strongly urge the president to clarify this provocative move quickly.”
Israeli newspaper Haaretz was told by a US embassy spokeswoman that the change was “not a policy change or indication of future policy change.”
A few hours later, the title was changed back to “US Ambassador to Israel.”
The US Embassy spokeswoman said the change, was an “inadvertent edit, and not reflective of a policy change.”
Incoming Secretary of State Antony Blinken has affirmed that a Biden Administration will not relocate the US embassy back to Tel Aviv and will stay in Jerusalem however, noted Biden will return to a two-state solution compromise. The two state solution comprise has been a loser ever since it was proposed but, hey, Biden has been on the wrong side of just about every other foreign policy matter, why stop now?
Leave it to team Biden to almost cause an international crisis just hours after being inaugurated.
