The Left is trying to push the narrative that all people on the Right are in league with white supremacists. This is a tired talking point that accelerated at warp speed following the Capitol Hill riot.
This was predictable, of course. The Left had been waiting for years for an event like January 6 to happen so they could justify cracking down on conservatives at all levels of society.
Big Tech, Big Business, and the media all laid the hammer on conservatives of all different backgrounds and different levels of the political Right spectrum.
Despite the fact that only a few hundred people stormed the Capitol, the Left has suggested that we on the Right are all as radical and crazy as that small sliver of a crowd that carried out the horrible actions of that day.
I personally have no conservative friends that are racists, and if I find out I do, they will no longer be my friends. I am sure many of you would do the same.
If we tell a Leftist that we aren’t racist and have black friends, we are accused of having token black friends to cover for our internal racism.
We can’t win with these people.
We conservatives must reject their premise entirely. They have perpetuated a false narrative and we shouldn’t be on the defensive because we have nothing to be on the defensive about. We aren’t racists—the Left has just made this up to use as justification to push their radical policies.
But that doesn’t matter to the Left. They are going to continue to call us all white supremacists by projecting an infinitesimal portion of the Right onto the majority of conservatives. This is just plain false, but the Left will never let facts get in the way of their almighty narrative.
Conservatives believe in a merit-based system and in equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. The Left now deems those beliefs racist. They don’t align with their government-enforced redistribution policies so therefore we are all racists…or something.
Epitomizing the far-Left’s effort to lump all conservatives together with a few racists is the following comment made by fake journalist Don Lemmon:
“If you voted for Trump, you voted for the person who the Klan supported. You voted for the person who Nazis support. You voted for the person who the alt-right supports. You voted for the person who incited a crowd to go into the Capitol and potentially take the lives of lawmakers … You voted on that side.”
That is such a conceited and ignorant statement.
The great majority of us voted for Donald Trump because we supported his policy agenda and liked the fact that he fought back against a culture that has been suffocating conservatives for years and is only getting worse.
We aren’t responsible for a few fringe people who also voted for Donald Trump. This is a lame attempt by Lemon to put us in one group so they can exploit us for political gain.
In 2019, the New York Times ran an article that blamed conservatives such as Ben Shapiro, Stephen Crowder, Dave Rubin, Lauren Southern, Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneux, and Milton Friedman for radicalizing members of the alt-Right on online videos.
That’s right, Milton Friedman, arguably the most influential economist of the 20th century is considered “alt-Right.” Ben Shapiro is Jewish and is a target of the alt-Right and has condemned its proponents.
We aren’t racists. We can’t let them push this false narrative any longer. It is starting to have real-world effects, as evidenced by the anti-racist movement that has invaded all areas of our culture including in schools.
So, the next time you as a conservative is accused of racism, say the following: “I reject your premise.”
Then walk away.
