A Women’s History Month address from President Joe Biden included an “incredible” mention of his granddaughters mere months after acknowledging the odd girl out.
Hunter Biden’s lengthy public denial about fathering a child with his former lover Lunden Roberts, and the ensuing legal battle over child support payments, had been matched by the White House’s own continued disregard of the existence of Navy Joan Roberts.
While a July 2023 statement from the president had seemingly put an end to the young girl’s familial shunning, remarks from the East Room Monday saw the 81-year-old grandfather return to a more familiar headcount.
“I see a future for all Americans, a future for my daughter and my four granddaughters — by the way, they’re incredible,” Biden said to those gathered, “you should meet my granddaughters. Oh, you think I’m kidding. I’m not.”
Biden says he has “four granddaughters” — except he has five.

Weeks after the younger Biden had reportedly come to a private settlement that included “heavy redactions to keep the full financial arrangements of four-year-old Navy Joan Roberts’ upbringing a secret,” that had led many to believe the mother of his fourth of five children, three with ex-wife Kathleen Buhle and one with current wife Melissa Cohen, had been “paid off” to maintain her silence, the president had finally publicly counted Navy Joan among his grandchildren.
“I have seven grandkids,” Biden had said in an interview during the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast. “Four of them old — five of them old enough to talk on a phone. You know, every day, I either text or call them!”
Following the admission, the president released a statement that read, “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward. This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all our grandchildren, including Navy.”

Despite the acknowledgement, the Biden’s had appeared unwilling to embrace the innocent girl into the family fold as the 2023 White House Christmas decorations had foregone the inclusion of stockings hanging off the fireplace mantel.
The count had glaringly excluded Navy Joan in years prior while including family pets.
Still, the White House had explained away the lacking stockings by detailing the family’s intent to spend Christmas at Camp David without reporting whether or not the illegitimate granddaughter would be accounted for at the presidential retreat.
Considering Biden’s frequent gaffes, mental lapses and overall questionable cognitive ability, it remained unclear if he’d flubbed the number or if the first family had returned to disregarding the child. The lack of clarity on the matter didn’t slow social media users down from casting judgment on the seemingly negligent grandfather.
That beautiful little girl is better off without him

He doesn’t care about her. She’s a non-entity for him. When are people going to see him for what he really is?

She’s better off not acknowledging him as her grandfather!
