(TeaParty.org Exclusive) – It has often been speculated that former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley would make her own bid for the presidency one day, but it appears she’s not ready to wait until former President Donald Trump is out of office.
She’s not helping her chances much by throwing him under the bus, however, if she wants to win over Republican voters.
Taking the hard left stance that the former POTUS—who she herself served under, of course, and who sang her praises while he was in office—was responsible for the riots on January 6th at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., Haley supported his impeachment.
This came right before he was acquitted, making matters worse for the aspiring POTUS.
“He’s not going to run for federal office again,” Haley told Politico’s Tim Alberta this week.
“I don’t think he’s going to be in the picture,” she said. “I don’t think he can. He’s fallen so far.”
Big League Politics explains that she went on to say that Trump had stepped a line by contesting the results of the 2020 election.
This is a dangerous line—much of the mainstream has insisted that we should all simply shut up and trust the “experts” when it comes to election fraud.
How can we the people ever expect to hold elected officials accountable for safe and secure elections if we’re not even allowed to question them?
“We need to acknowledge he let us down,” Haley shamefully declared. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”
“Conventional wisdom in my inner circle of sorcerers and sources has been that the first female president will be a Republican,” Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker glowingly declared in an op-ed in 2019.
“This is because America is still mostly a center-right country, and voters would feel more comfortable with a conservative-leaning woman. So goes the thinking.”
BLP also notes that, after leaving the Trump administration, Haley was courted by notorious Never Trumper Bill Kristol, who wanted her to run against Trump in 2020.
“When she leaves the administration I’d be happy to buy her lunch and see what’s happening with Trump, the economy, [special counsel] Bob Mueller,” he said at the time. “I’ll hope to speak with her as well as many other people.”
“What we are doing is laying the groundwork and showing there’s a path and helping create that path for anyone who chooses to run. That decision is obviously up to them.”
