Amid tremendous American dissatisfaction with the economic status quo, public support for labor unions is at its highest level since 1965. I interviewed National Review Capital Matters writer Dominic Pino to learn more about unions, their role in the United States, and potential downsides of the organizations.
Pino received a master’s in economics from George Mason University, and he currently serves as the Thomas L. Rhodes Journalism Fellow at the National Review Institute. His topics of interest include trade policy, fiscal policy, and unions.
In my interview with Pino, he discusses the history of American unions and their recent behavior. He also speculates on the potential ramifications of University of Chicago graduate students’ decision to unionize.
