America First vs. the Uniparty has taken center stage in the upcoming Nevada GOP Senate Primary. Uniparty-backed Sam Brown faces off against Dr. Jeff Gunter, who endorsed President Trump’s reelection campaign at a time when Brown refused to do so. In a disgusting move, Brown declined to endorse Trump while at the same time attempting to score political points with Nevada GOP voters using Trump’s name. Brown’s tactics should come as no surprise. Loomer Unleashed reported that Mitch McConnell and his handpicked successor, John Thune, personally back Brown. McConnell, Brown, and Thune also share many of the same donors. In comparison, Gunter has pledged to steer clear of McConnell’s influence. Nevada GOP voters will decide the direction of the Senate GOP.
On August 25th, 2023, Brown informed Punchbowl News that he would not endorse Trump. Punchbowl reported, “Brown is being exceptionally cautious when it comes to Trump. He declined to say whether he’s comfortable with sharing the GOP ticket with Trump in Nevada, which will be competitive once again at the presidential level as well.”
A day before refusing to endorse Trump, Brown shamelessly attempted to score political points with Nevada GOP voters by using Trump’s arrest to his benefit. Brown’s August 24th statement read, “Today, we are witnesses again to a two-tiered justice system being used by politicians to target political opponents. It’s engineered to distract from Joe Biden’s failing record and corruption scandals. America was prosperous under President Trump and would be again — they want you to forget that.”
In October 2023, Brown again declined to endorse Trump, with the NBC News report reading, “In Nevada, retired Army Capt. Sam Brown, who lost a Senate primary last year against a Trump-backed candidate, also has declined to endorse Trump. Two of Brown’s 2024 primary rivals — former Trump ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter and Jim Marchant, a 2020 election denier who lost a race for secretary of state last year — have emphasized their endorsements of Trump.”
Dr. Jeff Gunter posted about Brown’s refusal to endorse Trump’s reelection bid in October’s NBC News interview, “Swampy Scam Brown was given another opportunity to endorse President Trump and declined to do so!! This guy is a fraud, a failing candidate, and a McConnell puppet. And now, rumors are that NRSC is even souring on Brown- because they know he can’t win!”
Despite his refusal to endorse Trump, Brown again attempted to benefit from Trump’s legal battles personally by posting on December 28th, 2023, “That a partisan elected official – the Democrat Secretary of State in Maine – is actively interfering in the 2024 election by removing Donald Trump from the ballot, is outrageous. One person is single-handedly seizing control, as jury and judge, and influencing a national election. Her actions are an affront to the very principles of our Constitution and due process, undermining our election system and stripping away the right of the people to cast their votes. This goes beyond dirty party politics — it’s blatantly undemocratic.”
Brown did not endorse Trump’s reelection bid until January 12th, 2024, when he finally believed it would benefit him politically. Sam Brown represents everything that is wrong with the GOP establishment. Nevada voters must steer clear of him.
