On the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Friday, some on Twitter started a hashtag called #AllBuildingsMatter, apparently mocking the hashtag #AllLivesMatter.
In 2016, “Saturday Night Live” cast member Michael Che mocked people for saying that “all lives matter,” apparently in response to the emerging Black Lives Matter movement.
Che asked why black people had to “get over” slavery and racism when people are told to “never forget” the 9/11 terror attacks.
“That’s why this September, I’m getting a T-shirt that says, ‘All buildings matter.’ We’ll see how that works,” he said in a Netflix comedy special.
The hashtag #AllBuildingsMatter” went viral on Twitter on Friday morning, with only the hashtag #NeverForget trending higher, according to the New York Post.
“The hashtag #AllBuildingsMatter is trending on Twitter because radical left are SCUM who have no respect for America or the people who sacrifice for her,” tweeted congressional candidate Rob Weber.

This triggered a barrage of critical comments, even from Black Lives Matter supporters.
“Yes I support BLM but frickin leave 9/11 alone,” one user wrote, according to the Post.
“Did Michael Che end up getting his #AllBuildingsMatter T-shirt?” one user asked.
“Nobody is f–king mourning the buildings. They’re mourning the innocent lives that were taken thanks to greed. This is not the same. This is not the time. Y’all are TRASH,” one black user responded, calling the “#AllBuildingsMatter hashtag “disgusting.”
“If any of you self-important childish babies tagging #AllBuildingsMatter even had a clue what happened this day 19 years ago, had seen it, had experienced it, you’d never open your mouths again,” another user wrote.
“Hilarious part of the #AllBuildingsMatter trend is it is being tweeted by people who are burning buildings daily,” wrote conservative reporter Carmine Sabia.
Aother user remarked, “Just remember the #AllBuildingsMatter crowd will be looting and burning them down tonight folks.”
If any of you self-important childish babies tagging #AllBuildingsMatter even had a clue what happened this day 19 years ago, had seen it, had experienced it, you’d never open your mouths again. It’s not about a building, or three buildings. You’re proving the Right, right.
