The Wisconsin Senate passed a bill banning biological males from women’s sports Tuesday and sent the legislation to the governor’s desk, according to The Associated Press.
The bill was introduced in August 2023 and requires high school athletes in public and private schools to compete according to their biological sex. Wisconsin senators passed the legislation in a 20 to 11 vote, with one Republican joining Democrats against on the last day of the session, according to the AP.
