Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) seems to have shifted his position on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after Iran attacked the Jewish nation.
On Saturday, the terrorist regime unleashed a barrage of kamikaze drones and missiles in a move that could further escalate tensions within the Islamic world and potentially lead to a wider war, dragging the U.S. into the conflict.
In a post to the X platform that was slammed by users, the New York Democrat pledged the nation’s support for Israel, only weeks after he demanded regime change in Tel Aviv as the war in Gaza is costing President Joe Biden politically with the party’s anti-Semitic base.
“As Israel is under attack from Iran, we stand with Israel and its people, and the United States will do everything we can to support Israel’s defense against Iran,” Schumer wrote.

“As a lifelong supporter of Israel, it has become clear to me: The Netanyahu coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7,” Schumer said last month in a shameless speech from the Senate floor. “The world has changed radically since then, and the Israeli people are being stifled right now by a governing vision stuck in the past.”

“At this critical juncture, I believe a new election is the only way to allow for a healthy and open decision-making process about the future of Israel, at a time when so many Israelis have lost their confidence in the vision and direction of their government,” he added, an unprecedented call from the top congressional Democrat for the toppling of the leader of one of the nation’s key allies in the middle of the war.
Schumer was excoriated over the about face after his meddling in Israeli politics to pander to Michigan Muslims who threatened to abandon Biden.
This man sought to topple Israel’s government and Iran launched an unprecedented attack just days later. Maybe sit this one out https://t.co/yBjzY621s5

Schumer literally called for a change of leadership recently and now has the audacity to post this. Check out the replies to see that absolutely nobody outside of Colbert supports the Majority Leader… https://t.co/GQmek6wLr4

Shitlib literally called for a regime change in Israel a couple of weeks ago.
Also shitlib and his friends sent literally billions stuffed in pallets on a plane to Iran. https://t.co/micN4XuplM— Rising serpent (@rising_serpent) April 14, 2024
Chuck, you threw Israel under the bus for votes and to secure your position in Senate leadership.

So does that mean you’re putting off your push for the overthrow of the current Israeli administration?

Scheming Schumer always sees an angle and tacking on some money for Israel will make it easier to get the stalled $60 billion giveaway to Ukraine unstuck in Congress this week.
