OJ Simpson’s Executor Says He Plans to Make Sure Ron Goldman’s Family Gets ‘Zero, Nothing’ From Estate

OJ Simpson signed his last will and testament in January, prior to his death this week from prostate cancer.

The document names him as “Orenthal Simpson,” not his full name of Orenthal James Simpson. Simpson named his longtime attorney, Malcolm LaVergne, as “personal representative” of his estate and authorizes him to conduct a “proper settlement” of his estate and gives his entire estate to “the acting trustee” of The Orenthal Simpson Revocable Living Trust, dated the same January day as the will.

The will was filed by the Cassady Law Offices with Clark County, Nevada, on Friday. It also decrees that anyone who disputes the will will get $1 and nothing more.

LaVergne told The New York Post that Simpson’s body will be cremated and that his family gave a “hard no” to requests from unknown “scientists” who reportedly wanted to study his brain to see if he suffered from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a degenerative brain disease common in ex-football players who had multiple concussions during their career.

“With OJ everything’s wild, but I’ve been getting calls from medical centers that are doing CTE testing asking me for OJ’s brain . . . that is not happening,” LaVergne said.

LaVergne said the cremation may take place on Tuesday.

“That’s what OJ wanted. Those are OJ’s wishes, and that’s what the kids are telling me.”

LaVergne also told the Post he plans to make sure the family of Ron Goldman, who was murdered along with Simpson’s wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, on June 12, 1994, doesn’t get a dime from the estate. Simpson was acquitted of the murders, but a civil court found him liable for the deaths in 1997 and ordered him to pay the Goldman and Simpson families $33.5 million.

“It’s my hope that the Goldmans get zero, nothing,” LaVergne said. “Them specifically. And I will do everything in my capacity as the executor or personal representative to try and ensure that they get nothing.”

Prior to his death, Simpson had paid the Goldmans about $130,000. The irrevocable trust could help LaVergne stick it to the Goldmans, the Associated Press reported.
