Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, appears to have recovered from her recent bout with the coronavirus.
She hit the ground running with an announcement that she would be hosting a New York fundraiser on Saturday with a staggering $580,600 fee per couple, according to Page Six.
“I’m doing my best”
The exclusive event is set to be held in the Hamptons and is Guilfoyle’s first major public appearance since she was diagnosed with COVID-19 last month.
Her illness was among the closest of those within President Donald Trump’s orbit, but her boyfriend, Trump Jr., reportedly tested negative for the virus.
Reports indicate she attended a private party in Bridgehampton that did not require guests to wear face masks and believes that could have been where she contracted it.
“I mean personally I’m doing my best and following my doctor’s orders,” she said in one statement after her diagnosis.
Guilfoyle said at that time she had so far been “asymptomatic” and felt “really pretty good” as she remained in isolation. In fact, she was able to see a silver lining in her situation.
“A blessing from God”
“I accept this as a blessing from God so that I can understand what other people are going through and those who have lost loved ones,” she concluded.
After a period of quarantine, the couple continued to keep a low profile. The news of this week, however, appears to indicate that she has fully recovered and is already back to work trying to help the president get re-elected.
As for the fundraiser itself, reports indicate Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. will serve as the hosts of the couples event. Singles are also reportedly invited for a mere $250,000 per ticket.
It is being organized by the Trump Victory Fund and will be flanked by a reception on Thursday for $2,800 per person and a couples dinner with a $50,000 price tag. Similar fundraisers have proved fruitful for the Trump campaign, bringing in a combined $12 million in two events last year.
While a number of polls show Trump closing the gap with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, every donation counts as the campaign continues pushing forward to Election Day.
