A 28-year-old woman was arrested for a pair of apparently random stabbings in downtown Philadelphia on Saturday.
Takeira Hester has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other offenses, WTXF reported. Police say she is also wanted in New York City for an aggravated assault just days earlier.
The first attack took place at around 8:30 a.m. Saturday when Hester allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old woman in the chest . A few hours later, she tried to stab a set of 1-year-old twins in a stroller with their parents, but only reached one of the babiess, who was stabbed in the arm.
The father chased Hester down the street, where she dropped a bag she was carrying, according to WPVI. Police found information in the bag that led them to the suspect.
Police said the suspect said nothing before stabbing the two victims.
Both victims are in stable condition.
