Wisconsin’s Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ recently utilized a partial veto to lock in a school funding increase…
…for the next 400 YEARS.
Look, I’m all for supporting our kids and making sure that America’s teachers and the rest of our education system gets what it needs.
But to pretend that you have ANY idea what the world is going to be like in the year 2425 is absolutely ridiculous.
Who knows what the rule of America will be at that time.
Will the country still exist?
Might we be bigger and stronger, or is America at its peak right now?
The Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce Litigation Center has filed a petition asking the State Supreme Court to strike down Evers’ veto.
The issue will now be in the hands of Wisconsin’s liberal-controlled Supreme Court.
Evers made the partial veto by taking a portion that was supposed to end at the conclusion of the 2024-25 school year by crossing out the “20” and the hyphen, leaving the measure to end in 2425.
