During a Wednesday meeting, Shelby County Commissioner Henri Johnson proposed an amendment to a county ordinance titled “Racial Exclusion and Humiliation.” If passed, the amendment would declare President’s Day a racist holiday and rename it “Friends and Employees Day” in Shelby County.
