VIDEO: Protesters Occupy DC Target Store, Demand They Stop Calling 911 On Black People

Washington, DC – Black Lives Matter protesters stormed a Target store in the nation’s capital last Saturday and threatened they would shut them down completely if any of the employees ever called the police on a black person again (video below).

Drew Hernandez, from the web-based show “Lives Matter” followed the protesters and filmed video of them as the angry mob overran the Target employee who was trying to shut a metal security door on the store located in the Columbia Heights neighborhood.

“I really would like to know why DC Police allowed BLM to trespass into a DC Target to make threats tonight with customers still inside,” Hernandez tweeted on Sunday.

WTOP reported that about 100 protesters entered the store and participated in a rally of sorts.

There were customers in the store shopping when the loud group filled the area that surrounded the main entrance into the store.

But there was little coverage of the incident even by local news.

A similar incident occurred at a Whole Foods in DC, The Washington Post reported.

The videos Hernandez posted to social media showed a group leader with a megaphone leading a loud group through a series of demands.

He began by informing Target that they knew the store had called the police on black people in the neighborhood, and accused them of prioritizing money over people.

“All black people, living around this neighborhood, living around in this neighborhood, because you prioritize money over people, so until you stop calling the police, we continue to shut your business down,” the protesters yelled in a repeat-after-me format.

After the protesters finished delivering their message and blocking the entrance to the store, they moved on to protest at another location.

WTOP reported that the group zig-zagged through the city disrupting random businesses for four hours before ending their protest at the newly-named Black Lives Matter Plaza.

Some of the protesters joined the crowds taunting police at barricades around Lafayette Square.
