A disturbing video of a black teen repeatedly slamming a white teenage girl’s head into a sidewalk is making the rounds online in large part due to the sheer brutality on display.
The incident took place on Friday in Hazelwood, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis, and the Hazelwood East High School student was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, according to KSDK.
The victim suffered a “severe head injury” and began having what appeared to be a seizure as other teens continued brawling. Students are seen in the video looking on, but no one comes to the aid of the girl.

A 15-year-old suspect was arrested and is currently being held by St. Louis County Family Court on assault charges, the St. Louis County Police Department said on Saturday.
“Bullying and fighting in the community is an issue for which we all need to take ownership and work towards a resolution for the sake of our children. The Hazelwood School District offers our sincerest condolences to everyone involved, and will offer additional emotional support from our support and crisis team to those in need,” the school district said in a statement.
“We look forward to continuing to partner with our community for the sake of our children. Please be kind and respectful of the families involved during this difficult time and pledge to help work toward the betterment of our entire community.”
James Clark, vice president of Public Safety and Community Response at the Urban League, spoke with the NBC affiliate about the urgent need for intervention among young people.
“That’s a glimpse into the mentality and the culture of our young people today,” Clark said. “The social pressure is to be socially dysfunctional. Who can be the loudest? Who can be the most disruptive?”
Libs of TikTok pointed out in a tweet, “Just 5% of students in this school are proficient in Math and just 21% in reading.”
“Hazelwood School District won an award for their DEI initiatives and have a history of discriminating against white people,” the popular X account noted in another tweet:

Here’s a quick sampling of other responses to the story, as seen on X:
It is dystopian.
A bunch of people standing around either watching or filming or both.
The girl is convulsing on the floor.
The thug in shorts needs to be held accountable. This is attempted murder at best…and could be murder. I hope she gets an appropriate punishment.

If it was a white girl beating a black girl there would be riots
Hypocrisy

Instead of saying “That’s enough” and trying to break it up, everyone wants to record it, so they can get LIKES on social media.
Absolutely disgusted with the current culture we’re living in.

This literally made me cry. That poor girl seizing on the pavement. Who raises children that would do this with absolutely no remorse or restraint? The parents need to go to prison as well.

Hey @AGAndrewBailey can we at least see a manslaughter charge or is the STL DA not going to do anything?
— Robert H (@LavaVex) March 10, 2024
Wow, how absolutely pathetic. No one even checked to see if she was okay. The one girl even stepped over like she was just an object. It’s so sad that people think this behavior is acceptable. If we just turn a blind eye to this kind of stuff, we are doomed as a country.
