Former President Donald Trump’s week isn’t going so bad on both the legal front and polling-wise.Â
According to Breitbart, a new poll revealed that a majority of voters will still vote for Trump over President Joe Biden if he’s convicted in the classified documents case brought forth by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
The poll made it clear that most voters are sick and tired of the political persecution that seems to always go against one side — specifically Donald Trump.
Notably, the poll comes in the wake of Special Counsel Robert Hur not recommending an indictment against President Biden in his classified documents probe.
The numbers are in
The Harvard Caps/Harris poll undoubtedly caused another headache for the White House, Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, and their allies in the mainstream media, as it made clear where voters stand on the issue right now.
The survey’s question was simple, asking respondents who they would vote for if Trump was convicted by a jury “of crimes related to his handling of classified presidential documents?”
The results were staggering, with 54% indicating they’d vote for Trump, and only 46% indicating they would vote for Biden under those circumstances.

Breitbart noted:
Fifty-three percent of voters said Trump would not be convicted of any alleged crimes, while another 54 percent said Trump’s legal troubles are politically motivated.
The poll sampled 2,011 registered voters from March 20-21. The poll provided no margin of error.
In Smith’s classified documents indictment, Trump faces a whopping 40 charges. Hypothetically, if he were to be convicted by a jury on those charges, he would face 450 years in prison. Obviously, if he was president, that would be an entirely different story.
Why didn’t Hur want charges?
Hur’s report on why he decided not to bring charges against Biden, even though Biden didn’t actually have the ability to declassify like Trump, stirred massive backlash.
The special counsel blamed Biden’s old age, saying he doubted a jury would convict “an elderly man with a poor memory.”
Trump and many others argued that such a conclusion simply proves the true intentions of the cases brought against him by Biden’s DOJ.
Only time will tell if Trump is actually convicted, but if that’s the case, it doesn’t look like he’ll lose any support.
