Disgraced reality TV star Todd Chrisley, who is currently in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion, was ordered to pay over $700,000 dollars to a former Georgia Department of Revenue investigator for defamation.
A Georgia judge found Chrisley liable for two claims of libel and slander against Amy Doherty-Heinze on Thursday.
Heinze argued that Chrisley made defamatory statements against her on his podcast and social media accounts after the Georgia Department of Revenue launched an investigation into Chrisley and his wife in 2017.
Chrisley was eventually convicted as a result of the investigation and is currently serving a 12-year prison sentence.
Heinze would go on to file a lawsuit after Chrisley accused her of “a multitude of crimes and wrongdoing,” and refused to retract those statements upon request.
Things have gone from bad to worse for Chrisley. Hopefully, by the time he finally gets out of prison, he will have learned a few lessons and be able to turn his life around.
