George Zimmerman Files $100 Million Lawsuit to Clear His Name, Alleges False Evidence was Used in His Criminal Trial

The following article, George Zimmerman Files $100 Million Lawsuit to Clear His Name, Alleges False Evidence was Used in His Criminal Trial, was first published on Big League Politics.

George Zimmerman, the concerned citizen who was acquitted on all charges after killing African-American teenager Trayvon Martin in self-defense, is suing Martin’s family and others for $100 million alleging that fake evidence was manufactured for the trial.

The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in the Polk County Circuit Court. Zimmerman is seeking damages for defamation, conspiracy, and abuse of civil process. He believes that Rachel Jeantel, who served as a key witness for the prosecution in the case against him, was coached by Martin’s family and prosecuting attorneys.

Sybrina Fulton, Martin’s mother, is listed as the lead defendant in the civil suit. She has pushed for far-left social justice causes in the wake of her son’s death. She is currently running for the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners, hoping to gain a county commission seat next year.

“At first, I didn’t want to be the voice for Trayvon after he died but I decided I have no choice. Now, I’m called to act, and called to serve,” Fulton said in a video posted on her Instagram account. “It became clear to me there’s an opportunity to turn our family’s tragedy into something positive for many other families.”

“It took my son being shot down in order for me to stand up. But I’m standing now,” she added.

Ben Crump, who is the Martin family attorney that has built his public profile off of the case, is also listed as a defendant. He is accused of defamation and conspiring to “deprive Zimmerman of his constitutional and other legal rights.”

Zimmerman’s attorney is Larry Klayman, the renowned conservative attorney who founded Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch. He also served as a former US Department of Justice prosecutor. Klayman has a prime opportunity to strike back against the leftist victim industry, which now encompasses hundreds of hate hoaxes, with this lawsuit.

“It was a complete travesty of justice which destroyed my client’s life,” Klayman said. “People are destroyed and smeared and they have to start fighting back.”

Harper Collins is named in the lawsuit for publishing Crump’s race-baiting book to profit from the racially divisive case that gained national attention. The lawsuit claims Harper Collins published Crump’s book, Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People, “with actual malice knowing the untruth or at a minimum a reckless disregard for the truth.”

“With the book, I endeavor to make sure young lambs and communities of color are well armed to protest the school-to-prison pipeline, racist Jim Crow laws like Stand Your Ground, voter suppression and environmental racism that would find young children living in South Central Los Angeles has a third of the lung capacity as children living in Santa Monica, California,” Crump said in an interview about his book.

Zimmerman’s civil suit could pose a hurdle against the leftist social justice agenda that undermines the rule of law and the Bill of Rights. The full lawsuit can be viewed here.
