Mitt Romney Leads Senate RINOs in Bipartisan ‘Climate Caucus’ to Push for Sweeping Environmental Regulations

The following article, Mitt Romney Leads Senate RINOs in Bipartisan ‘Climate Caucus’ to Push for Sweeping Environmental Regulations, was first published on Big League Politics.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is leading a band of RINOs to work with Democrats in the Senate to push laws enacting regulations meant to defeat global warming.

Romney told CBS This Morning that he is happy to work with the Democrats to counteract President Donald Trump and other “neanderthals” who have not accepted the globalist propaganda on so-called climate change.

“We look a bit like neanderthals. It’s real. We’ve got to take action,” Romney said on the heels of the announcement of the Senate’s bipartisan “climate caucus.”

Romney is joined by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Mike Braun (R-IN) in colluding with the Democrats to push for sweeping environmental regulations. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Chris Coons (D-CT), Michael Bennet (D-CO), and Angus King (I-ME) are happy to take advantage of these RINO useful idiots who are capitulating on this key issue.

“I’ve got four kids that took a poll among them, ‘what do you think of this idea?’ and they love it,” Braun said to CBS This Morning.

They are pushing back against Trump’s pro-business economic policies that have essentially nullified environmental regulations that killed job growth and sent energy prices soaring.

“I think science is more and more clear and I think that people will either be convinced or not as time goes on,” Romney said.

“You know, I think many [fellow Republicans] probably just were not willing to say it, but, to me, it’s chemistry and physics, and I’m not going to deny that,” Braun said.

The new climate caucus is already meeting with CEOs and discussing the possibility of a carbon tax. The caucus makes it clear that they are slowly working toward that goal.

“If we go there right away, I think we will probably be doing the whole thing a disservice,” Braun said of a carbon tax.

“I think all the ideals will be on the table,” Romney said.

The RINOs in the climate caucus hope to undo Trump’s environmental reforms, which are bringing back a coal industry that was devastated by Obama-era regulations.

Even though they are just starting to be implemented, Trump’s free market energy policies are already causing liberals to blow their tops:

President Donald Trump has rolled out his new coal deregulation plan, and it is causing frantic liberals to claim it is the end of the world.

Vanity Fair released a hyperbolic article about Trump’s common sense plan to let the states decide their own carbon emissions policies. The article claims that this federalist plan to abide by the Constitution would cause thousands of deaths as well as an increase in diseases.

“We’re on the right side of history,” Environmental Protection Agency chief Andrew Wheeler said to the New York Times, infuriating liberals even further.

What has liberals really spooked is the inevitable court challenges to Trump’s Affordable Clean Energy rule. They are worried that the Supreme Court, bolstered by two conservative justices appointed by Trump, could set a precedent making it very difficult for future presidents to ever address their much-ballyhooed climate crisis.

Romney is working hard to steer the Republican Party back to the globalism that he represented when he failed as a presidential candidate in 2008 and 2012. The climate caucus hopes to introduce substantial laws against global warming by 2020.

“I do believe that old saying is true, which is, when they feel the heat, they’ll see the light,” Romney explained. “People who might otherwise be more inclined to slow things down are going to say, ‘we’ve got to respond.’”
