Simon Deng, the courageous former slave from South Sudan and global human rights campaigner, is a one-man dynamo for truth and justice. First (with help from AFDI) he took a group of South Sudanese freedom fighters to Israel to work on understaffed farms whose workers had left to fight the defensive war in Gaza; then (again with AFDI’s assistance) he and his South Sudanese countrymen embarked upon a March of Solidarity to Tel Aviv, showing their love for and solidarity with the people of Israel at numerous stops along the way.
Now Simon has gone to the Knesset and to the United Nations to stand with the Israeli hostages who are still being held in Gaza, and with all the people of Israel who are fighting for their very survival against ruthless and implacable jihadis with genocidal aspirations.
Be sure also to watch Simon’s illuminating and inspiring interview with Dan Diker and Arab-Israeli journalist Khaled Abu Toameh. Simon Deng is a voice of reason and sanity in a world that is increasingly irrational and insane. He stands for freedom and for Israel, as everyone who professes to love freedom should. In these days when the forces of darkness are more emboldened than they have been in decades, Simon’s stance is revolutionary. Let us emulate him.
