Uri Berliner, the NPR editor who posted a bombshell essay last week revealing the far-left bias at the liberal network where he has worked for the past 25 years, announced in a scorching statement Wednesday morning that he is resigning.
Berliner had revealed last week the great lengths National Public Radio took to slam former President Donald Trump in all their reporting, as well as their radical agenda against many other conservative issues.
As a result of Berliner’s revelations, many conservatives are now calling for all federal funding to be cut from the outlet.
After exposing the network, NPR announced Tuesday that Berliner would be suspended without pay for five days as punishment.
However, Berliner is done.
“I am resigning from NPR, a great American institution where I have worked for 25 years. I don’t support calls to defend NPR. I respect the integrity of my colleagues and wish for NPR to thrive and do important journalism. But I cannot work in a newsroom where I am disparaged by a new CEO whose divisive views confirm the very problems at NPR I cited in my Free Press essay,” he wrote in a social media post Wednesday morning.

In his essay published in The Free Press last Tuesday, Berliner exposed NPR’s brazen efforts to take down former President Donald Trump.
“But what began as tough, straightforward coverage of a belligerent, truth-impaired president veered toward efforts to damage or topple Trump’s presidency,” he wrote.
Below is a link to Berliner’s original bombshell essay that exposed NPR:
“We could face up to where we’ve gone wrong. News organizations don’t go in for that kind of reckoning. But there’s a good reason for NPR to be the first: we’re the ones with the word ‘public’ in our name.” @uriberliner‘s hope for a U.S. media institution. https://t.co/EclQJO838a pic.twitter.com/CvFfSoL3xx
