The following article, Leading Democrats, Candidates Renew Call to Impeach Brett Kavanaugh After Report of Incident Alleged Victim Doesn’t Remember, was first published on Big League Politics.
Democrats are renewing their 2018 push to keep Brett Kavanaugh off of the Supreme Court in the face of a new sexual misconduct allegation that the supposed victim doesn’t remember.
Except now, they’re seeking to impeach Kavanaugh as a sitting Supreme Court Justice, as opposed to blocking his confirmation.
The New York Times published a new allegation of misconduct against Kavanaugh, levied by a former Yale classmate and Democratic lawyer named Max Stier. As a Yale student, Kavanaugh supposedly placed his penis in the hand of a heavily intoxicated female classmate.
The Times buried a reference to the allegation in a Saturday article, and leading Democrats jumped out to make renewed calls for Kavanaugh’s impeachment after its publication. Beto O’Rourke, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris were among the Democrats who called for Kavanaugh to either resign or step down from the Supreme Court in the wake of Stier’s claims.
Yet it wasn’t until Sunday that the New York Times updated their Saturday article with an important disclaimer. The supposed victim, who wasn’t named in the article, doesn’t even remember the event in question. The entire allegation of Kavanaugh placing his penis in a drunken classmate’s hand at a party is entirely hearsay, from a third party to the event with noted connections to the Democratic Party.

One would hope that progressives would move on after failing in an attempt to tar Judge Kavanaugh’s reputation in 2018, when he was originally accused of sexual misconduct that supposedly took place decades ago just before his confirmation. But it’s likely attempts to purge the Supreme Court of conservatives will continue should Democrats obtain the White House or Senate.
