Antisemitism is all in the family for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) whose daughter has been suspended from college for her role in whipping up pro-Hamas protesters on campus.
Isra Hirsi, the Somali-born lawmaker’s daughter, confirmed that she had been informed of her suspension from Barnard College for her involvement in the anti-Israel protests at Columbia University in New York City, an ugly outpouring of Jew-hating sentiment of the type that is commonplace among students at America’s colleges and universities.
On Thursday, the “Squad” member’s young activist prodigy announced that she’s been subjected to disciplinary action along with two other troublemakers, taking to X to play the victim.
“i’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege i have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings,” Hirsi wrote. “i just received notice that i am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide.”

“those of us in Gaza Solidarity Encampment will not be intimidated. we will stand resolute until our demands are met. our demands include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of @Columbia’s investments and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression,” she added in another post, speaking like an entitled brat used to getting her way with making unreasonable demands.

The “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” that Hirsi refers to is a mini-CHOP where a motley young collection of Hamas lovers on the wrong track through life have banded together on the Columbia University lawn.
#BREAKING “Gaza Solidarity Encampment” set up on Columbia University Lawn AGAIN. Students say they are there to stay. Press conference shortly.

Providing the entertainment in the form of agitating the misguided youth was third-party presidential candidate Cornel West who grabbed a bullhorn and offered encouragement to the troops.

The ethically challenged congresswoman seemed to question Columbia’s commitment to free speech in a Wednesday post to X invoking 1968, a golden era for Democrats when students protested the Vietnam War, burned American flags, and spat on returning troops.
Columbia has always had an incredible history of students fighting for a more just world and it’s good to see that tradition continue. As NYPD surrounds young activists, I hope their concerns are heard by school administrators and they not be criminalized. In solidarity pic.twitter.com/UV8k3xltKT

Omar’s fellow “Squad” member came out singing with noted fire alarm puller Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) accusing Barnard College of engaging in “political reprisals” over the young woman’s suspension the day after her bomb-throwing mom’s post.
The day after @IlhanMN questioned Columbia leadership’s commitment to free academic expression, the school suspended her daughter? It’s clear what is happening here.
Our educational institutions should not be in the business of political reprisals. https://t.co/qX2I83lFrV

“The day after @IlhanMN questioned Columbia leadership’s commitment to free academic expression, the school suspended her daughter? It’s clear what is happening here,” wrote the emotionally volatile lawmaker who is in a fight for his political life in the upcoming New York Democrat primary. “Our educational institutions should not be in the business of political reprisals.”
Nothing has served to expose how thoroughly rotten the nation’s higher education system is – especially at elite Ivy League schools – than the explosion of antisemitism and sympathizing with terrorists that have been seen since Hamas’ savage attack on Israel in October 2023, and it’s hard to see how it’s going to be fixed.
