A Top Democrat Revealed One Fact That Will Destroy His Political Career

The Democrat race for President is in full swing.

Virtually every major Democrat is vying for the chance to take on Trump in 2020.

But one of those top Democrats just revealed one fact that will destroy his political career.

Going into the 2020 election, there seemed to be no candidate with more buzz around his candidacy than Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke.

Fresh off a Senate challenge to Ted Cruz, where he raised over $80 million, the political talking heads in Washington couldn’t get enough of him.

O’Rourke had met with Barack Obama and even recruited some of the former President’s key campaign staff for his bid.

But now, his chances of ever becoming President are fading away fast.

O’Rourke, a one-time serious candidate, is polling at less than 3%, with little known candidates like Andrew Yang on the verge of passing him in the polls.

So in order to revive his campaign, he has been trying to shift his message more radically to the left in recent weeks.

But that seems to be backfiring, considering that much of O’Rourke’s appeal is his more moderate views, at least in comparison with the rest of the Democrats running.

In recent weeks he has been embracing identity politics, by whining about race.

He told a group of immigrants that the United States was “founded on white supremacy.”

“I know this from my home state, Texas, places that formed the Confederacy, that this country was founded on white supremacy,” he said, according to the Tennessean. “And every single institution and structure that we have in this country still reflects the legacy of slavery and segregation and Jim Crow and suppression, even in our democracy.”

And now, he’s pushing forward in support of reparations for slavery.

Not only that but in a new blog, O’Rourke admits that his ancestors owned slaves, citing a relative named Andrew Cowan Jasper, along with another who he believes is a relative:

“There are also records showing that a maternal great-great-great grandfather, Frederick Williams, most likely owned slaves in the 1860s (“most likely,” because we are not certain that the Frederick Williams who is my ancestor and the Frederick Williams who owned slaves are the same person, but there’s enough circumstantial data to lead me to conclude that it’s likely).”

Even if O’Rourke’s ancestors did own slaves, it isn’t his crime to pay for.

But considering how rich O’Rourke is, largely from book deals obtained through his wife’s ultra-rich dad, paying some reparations won’t be a problem for him.

In reality, this news is bad for O’Rourke due to his nickname “Beto.”

For decades, he has used the named “Beto” in order to support his campaigns in his highly Hispanic district in El Paso, TX.

Many people will simply see the name “Beto,” and assume he is Hispanic, as it is a Hispanic name.

O’Rourke even tried to join the House Hispanic Caucus, only to be denied.

But now that it is clear that he had slaves in his family tree, he loses any attempt to paint himself as Hispanic.

Do you think Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke’s campaign is done for?
