VIDEO: Ocasio-Cortez: ‘It’s time to move on’ from Trump’s conception of America

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said on Monday that America needs to move past how President Trump sees the country.

“I think it’s unfortunate that he feels the way he feels about people of color in this country, it’s unfortunate the way he feels about immigrants, naturalized citizens or not, in this country,” Ocasio-Cortez told MSNBC.

The article goes on to state the following:

“What I would tell him is: It’s time to move on from him, and it’s time to move on from his conception of an America that we have tried to move past for a long time.”

“He relies on racism, division and anti-alien sentiment to consolidate power because he does not have a positive vision for the future of America,” the New York lawmaker added.

AOC also slammed Republican senator Lindsey Graham after his appearance on Fox & Friends Monday morning. She tweeted, “I see @LindseyGrahamSC’s biggest issue w/ Trump’s racism is that it doesn’t go far enough – Graham wants to bring back 1950s McCarthyism, too. GOP is doing this because they have no plan for our future. We’re the ones fighting for healthcare, edu, good jobs, & they got nothing.”
