REPORT: Refugee with multiple previous convictions charged with killing 5 U.S. Marines, spouses in deadly motorcycle crash

BREITBART.COM:

A Ukrainian national who came to the United States as a refugee — and who has a drunk driving conviction — has been charged with the deaths of five U.S. Marine Corps Veterans and two of their loved ones after allegedly causing a crash in Randolph, New Hampshire, last week.

Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, a 23-year-old refugee from Ukraine, was charged this week with seven counts of negligent homicide for allegedly killing five U.S. Marine Corps Veterans and two of their loved ones on Friday, June 21, when his trailer hitched to his pickup truck hit the motorcyclists.

The article goes on to state the following:

A law enforcement official confirmed to Breitbart News that Zhukovskyy originally entered the U.S. on September 18, 2006, as a refugee from Ukraine. Recently, his father told the Boston Herald, the Ukranian national was able to secure a green card and adjust his refugee status in 2008 to become a permanent legal resident.

ICE has now filed a detainer against Zhukovskyy. Another report by Conservative Review included the following details on Zhukovskyy’s criminal background and previous convictions:

According to local media, he has two prior DUI arrests, including one conviction in 2013, which led to his license being suspended for 210 days because he was tagged as “an immediate threat.”  The other DUI arrest was just last month in Connecticut. He was also arrested in Baytown, Texas, on Feb. 11, 2019, on possession of a crack pipe.

According to WMUR, Zhukovskyy was charged for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding in April 2012, but charges were dismissed.  He also pleaded guilty to two drug charges in January 2017 for possession of cocaine and heroin, but just paid a fine.

In addition to the driving and drug charges, according to the Boston Globe, Zhukovskyy received a 90-day suspended jail sentence in Connecticut in 2015 for larceny after he admitted to stealing ladders and windows at a Home Deport warehouse.

Daniel Horowitz, Senior Editor at Conservative Review, blasted out multiple tweets on the case, saying that the Ukrainian national should have been deported already for his previous convictions. Instead, he was given a green card.
