Police in Washington state issued an AMBER Alert for a toddler boy following reports that a former police officer allegedly killed two women and abducted the child.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the alert was issued on Monday night at the request of the West Richland Police Department, following the disappearance of 1-year-old Roman Huizar.
Police believe the child is in the company of his father and former Yakima Police Department officer, 40-year-old Elias Huizar, who fled the scene at William Wiley Elementary School in West Richland Monday afternoon, following a fatal shooting.
“One adult female was pronounced deceased at the scene outside of the school. There were no other causalities,” police confirmed on Facebook.
The victim has been identified as the suspect’s former wife, Amber Rodriguez, a teacher at the school.
Investigators then searched the defendant’s home and uncovered another body: his underage girlfriend, identified by family members as Angelica Santos, New York Post reports, although police have not yet confirmed her identity.
“A second homicide victim was found inside the residence. No information about the victim’s identity is being released at this time, except to say that it is not Huizar but that the victim is a known associate of the suspect,” police stated in a second Facebook post.

Police added that Huizar is likely to commit more crimes” and could be on the way to Mexico with the boy, traveling in a 2009 silver Toyota Corolla with Washington license plate, CBZ4745.
According to the Tri-City Herald, the suspect is also under investigation for raping his girlfriend’s friend.
