Allen Weisselberg, the ex-CFO of Trump’s real estate company, will plead guilty to perjury charges from Trump’s civil fraud trial.
This is his second conviction after tax evasion in 2022.
Weisselberg had plea talks with the Manhattan DA’s office for lying in court during the trial.
He struggled to explain discrepancies in Trump’s financial statements.
“It was almost de minimis relative to his net worth, so I didn’t really focus on it,” Weisselberg said. “I never even thought about the apartment.”
“Forbes was right, the triplex was actually only 10,996 right?” lawyer Louis Solomon asked.
“Right,” Weisselberg said.
Weisselberg is not expected to testify in the upcoming criminal trial against Trump for falsifying business records related to a payment to Stormy Daniels.
