Author JK Rowling is not interested in an apology from Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson over their stance on transgenderism which echoes other politically correct celebrities.
Rowling noted a review of transitioning children on X, “Over the last four years, Hilary Cass has conducted the most robust review of the medical evidence for transitioning children that’s ever been conducted. Mere hours after it was released to the press and public, committed ideologues are doubling down.”
Adam Harris #FarRightHooligan replied, “Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology … safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them …”
“Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces,” Rowling bluntly stated.

The review that Rowling refers to is from renowned pediatrician Dr. Hilary Cass. She found that British teenagers are being allowed to and in some cases pushed into changing their gender based upon “remarkably weak evidence.” Cass also refers to a “lack of high-quality research” on the effects of giving children puberty blockers and hormones in her findings.
Rowling had much more to say about the review:
I understand that the review’s conclusions will have come as a seismic shock to those who’ve hounded and demonised whistleblowers and smeared opponents as bigots and transphobes, but trying to discredit Hilary Cass’s work isn’t merely misguided. It’s actively malign. 3/6

And if I sound angry, it’s because I’m bloody angry. I read Cass this morning and my anger’s been mounting all day. Kids have been irreversibly harmed, and thousands are complicit, not just medics, but the celebrity mouthpieces, unquestioning media and cynical corporations. 5/6

I thought the last tweet was going to be my last, but I just burst into tears. The #CassReview may be a watershed moment, but it comes too late for detransitioners who’ve written me heartbreaking letters of regret. Today’s not a triumph, it’s the laying bare of a tragedy. 7/7

The pediatrician’s review was commissioned almost four years ago according to the Daily Mail. It issues a number of recommendations for changing NHS transgender services for children.
The report suggests that NHS create a service for those wanting to “de-transition,” to revert to their original gender. Cass recommended a “follow-through service” for 17 to 25-year-olds to protect teenagers from “falling off a cliff edge” when they turn 17.
The review was slowed down because Cass says that the polarizing debate over transgender care for children has left medical professionals “[too] afraid to openly discuss their views.” It also notes that family doctors have “expressed concern about being pressurised to prescribe hormones after these have been initiated by private providers.”
One of the things that devastates and enrages me most is the refusal of adult gender services to cooperate with Cass. Why are they so afraid of follow-up? (As if we didn’t know).

Both Radcliffe and Watson have attacked Rowling previously for not supporting transgenderism.
In 2020 Radcliffe replied to one of Rowling’s posts on X with this from the Trevor Project’s web page, “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I. According to The Trevor Project, 78% of transgender and nonbinary youth reported being the subject of discrimination due to their gender identity. It’s clear that we need to do more to support transgender and nonbinary people, not invalidate their identities, and not cause further harm.”
Watson also posted to X, “Transgender people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are. I want my transgender followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.”

The Harry Potter author recently ran afoul of new laws in Scotland that seek to imprison individuals for perceived “hate crimes” against transgenders.
“The SNP party’s community safety minister, Siobhian Brown, had previously claimed that misgendering – for example, using the pronoun ‘he’ when talking about a transgender woman – would not count as a hate crime, but she has now said it would be a police decision,” The Independent reported.
“However, Rowling, who has frequently argued online that transgender women are not women, vowed to continue ‘calling a man a man’ despite what she called the ‘ludicrous law,’ and said she would not delete social media posts that could breach hate crime laws,” the media outlet added.
Hey @jk_rowling & any Scot – whatever true fact you need said about the gender cult, just shoot me a note and I will say it on the air on my show to millions. Scotland can’t imprison those of us on this side of the pond; (for now) we still have free speech in America, which is… https://t.co/34bCuOdK8m

Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf described @jk_rowling’s tweets as “offensive and upsetting.”
Scotland passed a “hate speech” bill and on the first day received over 4,000 complaints.
The majority of them were reportedly about Humza’s anti-white racist comments.

Rowling has stated that she would rather go to jail than use preferred pronouns for a transgender person.
As for the Scottish authorities… they backed down.
“Ultimately, police said that Rowling’s comments about new hate crime laws ‘are not assessed to be criminal’ and confirmed no further action would be taken,” The Independent wrote.
