Leftist hypocrisy always rears it’s ugly head when it comes to redistributing the wealth. It was established long ago that leftists are very stingy when it comes to their personal money, but are all over forcing others to give. Bernie and Beto have released their taxes, and…they are stingy.
Bernie Sanders has been a self declared socialist since before I was born, hawking higher taxes and raping the rich of their money for social programs.
Beto is younger than I am, and has worked hard to try to pretend he is a moderate, but he wants higher taxes and to take from the rich too!
They are both WEALTHY!!!!
Bernie Sanders and his wife made $566,000 in income in 2017. They gave about 3 percent to charity.
O’Rourkes made $370,412 in 2017. They gave away $1,166 of that income to charity. Do the math! Beto’s charitable giving was less than one-third of 1 percent of his household income. In 2015, they gave $867, or 0.24 percent of their income.
Beto said his public service is the “real contribution” to society:
“I’ve served in public office since 2005, I do my best to contribute to the success of my community, of my state, and now of my country,” O’Rourke said. “There are ways that I do this that are immeasurable and there are ways that I do this that are measurable. There are charities that we donate to that we’ve recorded and itemized, others that we’ve donated to that we have not.”
C’mon Beto, that is really ridiculous when compared to the Democrat/leftist mantra about Tax Cuts and Redistributing the Wealth. Don’t forget Reparations!
If Bernie and Beto were really honest about reparations, they would give! They are not. They want to make YOU give!
But that’s not all!
If you will remember, former Vice President Joe Biden was slammed after it was disclosed that he and his wife Jill claimed on average only $369 in charitable gifts in the decade before 2008.
“Joe Biden’s budget shows that while he wants to be generous with your money through higher taxes and government spending, for years he gave less than two-tenths of 1 percent of his money to charity,” Mike Huckabee said of Biden at the 2012 Republican National Convention. “He just wants you to give the government more so he and the Democrats can feel better about themselves.”
Liz Wolfe points out Kamala Harris’ hypocrisy at the Federalist:
Kamala Harris (and her husband) made nearly $2 million in 2018, giving 1.4 percent to charity (which totals out to about $27,000); Elizabeth Warren (and her husband) made just shy of $1 million (donating an improved 5.5 percent to charity in 2018). They should, however, be thoroughly criticized for demonizing millionaires and billionaires, branding them the no good, very bad, super icky ultra-rich, when they are some of the richest people in America.
Elizabeth Warren and her husband Bruce Mann averaged charitable donations of about 4 percent from 2008 to 2017. In that last year, however, one year before her re-election bid, Warren and her husband donated nearly 9 percent of their income to charity.
Again, that is not all!
Amy Klobuchar gave only 1.9 percent. The Minnesota senator and her husband gave $6,600 on $338,500 of income.
Kirsten Gillibrand gave 1.7 percent. The New York senator and her husband gave $3,750 on $215,000 of income.
If you are going to call for leftist socialist policies that take from the rich and give to the poor, you better start in your own back yard!
