The White House celebrated the release of a Justice Department letter that cleared President Trump’s 2016 campaign of allegations it cooperated with Russian-backed election meddling efforts.
“The Special Counsel did not find any collusion and did not find any obstruction. AG Barr and DAG Rosenstein further determined there was no obstruction,” tweeted White House press secretary Sarah Sanders. “The findings of the Department of Justice are a total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”
The article goes on to state the following:
The four-page document authored by Attorney General William Barr summarized the findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s 22-month long probe into the Kremlin’s invention in the 2016 election and charges they had help from close Trump advisers and family members.
The Special Counsel did not find any collusion and did not find any obstruction. AG Barr and DAG Rosenstein further determined there was no obstruction. The findings of the Department of Justice are a total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”
