The Arkansas airport executive director who was shot by federal agents during a raid at his home this week has died from his injuries, his brother said.
Bryan Malinowski, 53, died two days after a gunfire exchange with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) at his Little Rock residence. He was pronounced dead Thursday, Matthew Malinowski told Fox News Digital.
Bill Walker, chair of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission, also announced the death of Malinowski, who work at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, in a statement to Fox News Digital.
In the statement, also released on social media, Walker wrote:
“With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our Executive Director, Bryan Malinowski. Bryan was a 16-year employee of the airport. Under his leadership, our airport has experienced significant growth and success, expanding services and offerings to our community and state. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bryan’s wife, Maer, loved ones and friends.”

ATF agents reportedly raided Bryan Malinowski’s home at 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, to “serve a search warrant.” Responding to the break-in of his home, Malinowski fired on the intruders, injuring one ATF agents.
The agents then returned fire, shooting Malinowski in the head.
On Wednesday, reporter Neale Zeringue noted that Malinowski’s brother, Matthew Malinowski, is raising questions. He wrote:

He questioned why agents came to his brother’s home so early in the morning and did not approach him at the airport, claiming instead that the agents “broke down his door” leaving his brother no choice but to “defend himself.”

Zeringue announced Thursday: “A statement from the family of Bryan Malinowski following his death. It addresses allegations they say the government made that Bryan Malinowski sold private firearms to a person who may not have been legally entitled to purchase the guns. The family viewed the affidavit before its public release.”
