The Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), a Republican super PAC, sent around a video of the Democratic candidate for Senate in Arizona, Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), in which she says, “Arizona is clearly the meth lab of democracy,” while speaking at an event in 2010.
Sinema made the comments while addressing the progressive conference, Netroots Nation.
“If you’re not watching the Daily Show, I don’t know how you keep up with what’s happening in America today. But, Jon Stewart said this just a few weeks ago that, indeed, as we see in this very quote, that states are the laboratories of democracy and then my state, Arizona, is clearly the meth lab of democracy. And I cannot take credit for that line, someone at the Daily Show wrote it, but I’m happy to steal it and use it all the time,” Sinema said.
This the second time this week that footage of Sinema mocking Arizona has surfaced.
In 2011, Sinema called Arizonans “crazy,” and referred to Arizona as a “crazy” state.

A recent poll had Sinema trailing her Republican challenger, Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ), by six points.
