Even Bloomberg had to admit that things are changing and that MAHA has caused a total “rethinking” of the food supply chain in the United States. He also said that this may mean higher prices for consumers.
RFK Jr.’s plan for clean food in America includes limiting ultra-processed foods, bringing back real “Nutrition” to SNAP, getting rid of seed oils, banning fake food dyes, and cutting down on the use of harmful pesticides and high-fructose corn syrup. MAHA connects these food ingredients to the health problems in the country getting worse.
Because of processed foods, Americans spend the least amount of their pay on food compared to almost every other country. But that time may be coming to an end because moving toward better, less industrialized food is likely to make prices go up.
Nevertheless, the trade-off is crystal clear: increased health results in lower rates of medical expenses. The true question is, how much would you be willing to pay to prevent developing a chronic condition, having to pay ever-increasing medical expenditures, or even facing the possibility of dying prematurely as a result of years of consuming ultra-processed foods?
We do not mRNA vaccinate our cattle, nor will we ever!
There is no price. Now it’s time for the Trump administration to put policy tailwinds for the MAHA movement to revive a network of small farms that will feed America and improve health outcomes for the nation.
