MSNBC’s O’Donnell floats ‘insane theory’ that Vance is trying to push Trump out of office

Democrats leave no stone unturned in their fevered quest to take down President Donald J. Trump, and the party of leftwing extremists has pushed all in on using the Epstein files fiasco as fodder to undermine the president.

The latest salvo there is an attempt to drive a wedge between Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, based on an October appearance on Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast, where Vance called for the release of the Epstein client list.

After Von called for the release of the list, then-candidate Vance replied, “Seriously, we need to release the Epstein list, that is an important thing. We can go down that rabbit hole.”

This comes amid the controversial Wall Street Journal reporting of a risqué 2003 letter Trump allegedly sent wishing Epstein a happy birthday — the president insists the letter is fake and says he will sue the newspaper.

But that didn’t dissuade MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell from floating an “insane theory” that the vice president is trying to force Trump out of office by “demanding” to see the “Birthday Letter.”

O’Donnell throws any semblance of truth out the window as he capitalizes on an X post from Vance calling the WSJ report “utter bullshit,” while asking the outlet to show the letter.

“Forgive my language but this story is complete and utter bullsh-t. The WSJ should be ashamed for publishing it,” Vance wrote. “Where is this letter? Would you be shocked to learn they never showed it to us before publishing it? Does anyone honestly believe this sounds like Donald Trump?”

He added in a follow-up, “Doesn’t it violate some rule of journalistic ethics to publish a letter like this without showing it to the victim of this hit piece? Will the people who have bought into every hoax against President Trump show an ounce of skepticism before buying into this bizarre story?”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the sleazy campaign a “coordinated Hoax by the Democrats and Fake News to smear President Trump,” and said the WSJ doesn’t even have possession of the alleged letter.

“The Wall Street Journal published a hatchet job article with a FAKE ‘birthday letter’ that is supposedly from 2003,” she posted. “This is like the Steele Dossier that kickstarted ‘the Russia, Russia, Russia’ Hoax all over again.”

“The WSJ refused to show us the letter and conceded they don’t even have it in their possession when we asked them to verify the alleged document they’re basing their ENTIRE fake story on,” Leavitt continued. “When has President Trump ever spoken like the conversation alleged in the fake WSJ story? That’s not at all how he speaks or writes. The WSJ knowingly published false information to smear the President of the United States.”

As crazy as the story is, O’Donnell takes it off the rails — with the blessing of Comcast, which owns MSNBC through its subsidiary NBCUniversal.
