One Big Beautiful Bill – Why We Wanted Trump Back In Office

As we watched into the night after hours of Vote-a-rama for the Senate to vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill, it’s important to remember why we wanted President Trump back in the Oval Office. I mean, come one, we knew the Democrats would try to stop him by any means necessary. We knew that the Republicans would screw things up by any means necessary. The only human we have had to rely on for the last decade is Donald Trump. Did you really think Senator John Thune was going to be any help? Stop, my side are hurting.

As I write this, the Senate has just finished voting on a Motion to Commit. The vote was 48-52 and back to committee goes the One Big Beautiful Bill. Or, H.R. 1. Paint dries faster than these people work. Meanwhile, that hasn’t stopped the barbs from flying.

Senator Spartacus Cory Booker called the One Big Beautiful Bill a “moral obscenity”:

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) said Monday that President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” is a “moral obscenity.”

“I think it’s a moral obscenity, and it is violence in the sense of what it will do to many families by denying them health care when they’re sick, by denying them food when their children are hungry, denying our seniors critical care in their latter years, denying the disabled the kind of support that they need,” Booker said on MSNBC’s “Deadline: White House.”

Democrats have vehemently opposed the “big, beautiful bill” as it has made its way through Congress, with Booker saying Monday in a post on the social platform X that members of his party in the upper chamber were “standing up right now for our constituents who will lose their health care, who will face rising energy costs, and who will lose access to SNAP benefits.”

“We have to do whatever we can to stop the ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’” Booker continued in his post.

Pfft! A moral obscenity was Booker’s 25 hour acting on the Senate Floor. What a putz!

Next up Senator John Thune, our Senate Majority Leader, God help us. The Senate Parliamentarian, one of those damned unaccountable, unelected officials said that the One Big Beautiful Bill couldn’t remove 1.4 million illegal, non-citizen immigrants from Medicaid. John Thune didn’t fire her.

Which brings us to Elon Musk. I am not a fan of Electric Vehicles, give me a beautiful gas powered engine. I do love Elon. He is an entrepreneur with a neurodivergent brain. He means this threat, but we just need someone to distract him. From CNN:

After declaring he was stepping away from the political spotlight, Elon Musk got right back in it.

As the Senate debated President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” on Monday before a final vote, Musk issued a stark warning via his social media platform X.

“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame! And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth,” he wrote.

A few hours later he went further, declaring on X that if the “insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.”

“Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE,” he wrote.

Oh Elon, how little you know about politics. Elon learned nothing about how the entrenched elite stifled his waste, fraud and abuse efforts.

THERE ARE STILL SOME GOOD THINGS IN THE ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL.

There is defunding Planned Parenthood. Although the Senate changed it to only one year rather than the 10 years the House put in.

The House version of the Big Beautiful Bill contains $46.5 billion in funding for the “construction, installation, or improvement of primary, waterborne, and secondary barriers” on the U.S. border, while the Senate version allocates an additional $50 million for the same purpose.

Both versions provide $5 billion for the creation of additional U.S. Customs and Border Protection facilities, $4.1 billion for the hiring and training of additional border enforcement personnel and more than $2 billion in signing bonuses for border agents.

The House version of the legislation includes $813 million for new border enforcement vehicles, while the Senate version allocates $855 million for the same purpose. The House bill contains $2.8 billion for border security technologies.
