Democrats and their allies in the media think the 2026 midterm election is in the bag.
But the left may be in for a nasty surprise.
And Donald Trump has one secret weapon that will doom Democrats to defeat.
In 2019, the Supreme Court erroneously ruled that illegal aliens must be counted in the census.
Counting illegal aliens in the census artificially inflated the population of blue states and created more Democrat-leaning Congressional Districts.
Joe Biden opened the border to at least 10,000,000 illegal aliens with the hopes of flooding blue states with migrants ahead of the 2030 census.
That way, Democrats could lock in a Congressional majority for the next decade by shifting Congressional Districts in their favor, thanks to packing blue states with illegal aliens.
Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed on social media that she had spoken to President Trump and that the President supported her bill banning eliminating illegal aliens from the census count.
“My bill will require the U.S. Census Bureau to conduct a new census immediately upon enactment of the bill. In conducting the new census of the U.S. population, it shall require questions determining the citizenship of each individual, and count US citizens only. Upon completion of the census, the bill will direct states to immediately begin a redistricting of all U.S. House seats process using only the population of United States citizens,” Greene posted to X.
Reporters asked President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis about the possibility of redoing the census ahead of the 2026 elections.
Trump declared that both he and DeSantis supported the move.
“Well, I’ll speak for both of us. We love it … I know all about it … Ron would love it, I would love it, [Homeland Security Secretary] Kristi [Noem] would love it,” Trump stated. “That’s what they have to do, they have to bring it back. And we have to look. You know, Ron, they include anybody that happens to be in your state.”
DeSantis explained a fair census that didn’t count illegal aliens would strip deep blue California of five Congressional seats.
“California would lose like five seats if they did a fair census,” DeSantis added. “I would love for them to redo the census for ’26. My legislature will redistrict those lines; we’ll get it to where it’s fair. But as it’s right now, this country is not fairly apportioned. I’ve got so many more millions of people in Florida that have representation because of that flawed census.”
Trump then expressed optimism that Greene’s bill could pass Congress.
“I think it’s gonna do very well … It’s captivated the country. Everybody wants it,” Trump concluded. “It’s gonna get in, it’s gonna pass and we’re gonna be very happy.”
Under the current map Democrats only need to win five seats to retake control of the House of Representatives.
Republicans are set to pad their majorities in Ohio and Texas thanks to quirks in state law that allow those red citadels to redraw their Congressional maps.
A new, fair Congressional apportionment that doesn’t count illegal aliens could put the majority out of reach for Democrats.
